제주인놀다

우리는 각자가 그린 세계에서 각자의 보편으로 삶을 꾸려갑니다. ‘나’라는 렌즈를 통해 본 세계에서 거짓을 발견하기란 쉽지 않습니다. 참, 참, 참으로 가득한 세계, 그 곳은 나의 세상입니다.

“내가 만든 세상 (Humans Shaping their Worlds)”은 내가 지은 세계에서 나의 방식대로 살아가는 이들간의 공존 가능성을 탐구합니다. 여정은 기분이나 성향에 따라, 그것을 형성한 환경이나 문화, 역사, 어쩌면 유전자에 따라 생겨난 ‘다름’을 인식하는 데서 출발합니다. ‘탐험하는 마음’에서 관객은 몸과 마음을 스캔하고, 안다는 것(knowing)의 의미를 오감으로 성찰합니다. ‘경계에 핀 꽃’에서는 서로 다른 입장에 놓인 존재들이 각자의 방식으로 그려낸 형형색색의 세계가 펼쳐집니다. 다름을 생소하게, 그러나 주의 깊게 바라보는 동안 참과 거짓, 옳고 그름, 너와 나의 경계는 흔들리며 꽃피웁니다. 절대 가까워질 수 없고, 절대 연결될 수 없을 것만 같았던 무수한 ‘다름’들은 ‘가능한 세계들’이 제시하는 유연하고 열린 세계관 안에서 팔 벌려 포옹합니다.

가려진 세계의 얇은 장막이 산들바람에 흩날리는 순간으로, 12인(팀) 예술가들이 당신을 초대합니다. 저 너머에서 새어 나오는 찬란한 빛에 이끌리는 스스로를 발견하는 순간이 되기를 바랍니다.

We each construct our lives in a world we have each painted. It is not easy to find falsehoods in a world seen through the lens of 'I’. The world full of truth, truth, and more truth — that is ‘My world’.

"Humans Shaping their Worlds" explores the possibilities of coexistence among those who live in the world they have crafted in their own way. The journey begins by recognizing the 'differences' shaped by moods, dispositions, environments, cultures, histories, and perhaps even genes. In "Exploring Minds", viewers scan their bodies and minds, reflecting on the meaning of 'knowing' through all five senses. In "Flowers on the Border", different beings positioned from various standpoints reveal vividly colored worlds painted in their own ways. While observing these differences as unfamiliar yet attentively, the boundaries of truth and false, right and wrong, and you and I waver and blossom. Numerous 'differences' that seemed impossible to connect embrace each other with open arms within the flexible and open worldview presented by "Possible Worlds".

Twelve artists (teams) invite you to a moment when the thin veil of the unseen world flutters in the breeze. May this be a moment where you find yourself drawn to the brilliant light seeping from beyond.
