"September in the forest"는 요정과 정령의 영원한 공존, 아름다운 자연 풍경과 함께하는 세계를 향한 초대이다.

계절의 변화를 깊이 느낄 수 있는 9월, 제주 애월 유수암의 숲속에 위치한 이니갤러리에서 2023년 선정 유망작가 4인을 소개한다.

작가들의 손끝과 끝없는 상상력을 통해 숲은 활기찬 캔버스로 변신하며, 빛과 그림자의 신비로운 무도회가 펼쳐진다.

숲 속 갤러리 안에서 현실과 판타지의 경계가 흐려지며, 요정과 정령은 아름다운 자연 세계의 모든 생명과 함께 숨 쉬며 존재한다.

루나양은 보살핌이 필요한 나약한 존재들을 맑고 큰 눈으로 말없이 안아주는 아이콘을 만들고자 했다. 이번 작품에는 모란과 작약속에서 태어난 아이콘“N”을 가시화 하여, 기존의 축복 시그니처들과 재구성하였다.

순수회화와 디지털 아트를 접목하고 있는 예미킴은 AI에 원하는 프롬프트를 입력하여 생성한 이미지를 합성하여 숲속에 사는 동화와 같은 신비한 존재들을 표현하였다.

그는 인공지능AI를 통한 정보의 복제와 전수라는 키워드로 불멸에 대해 고찰한다.

위드원은 일상의 이야기, 사상적, 환경적, 정서적으로 맺는 사람과의 관계의 의미, 그리고 동시대 일어나고 있는 일들에 대한 생각들을 작가 특유의 마띠에르 표현과 다양한 기호, 이미지들로 캔버스 안에 담아 표현하고 있다.

최민서는 제주 풍경을 제주 초상화라 생각하고 제주라는 섬에 또 다른 작가만의 생명력을 부여하였다. 그 안에 존재하는 모든 생물들은 초상의 일부이며 유난히 작게 그려진 반려견과 억새등은 제주에서 지내고 있는 작가 자신의 40대의 초상이기도 하다

"September in the forest“는 모든 생명체들 사이의 상호 연관성을 기리는 전시이다.

전시는 숲, 자연, 상상력의 영역을 풍부하게 묘사하여 우리의 눈과 마음을 사로잡는 새로운 경험을 제공한다.

전시 관람이 현실과 우리 눈에 비치지 않는 비가시 영역 사이의 신비한 균형에 대해 되새기는 계기가 되기를 바란다.

"September in the Forest" is an invitation to the world of eternal coexistence between fairies and spirits, alongside the enchanting natural landscapes.

Taking place in the depths of the forest at Jeju's Yusuam, this exhibition introduces four promising artists selected for the year 2023.

Through the artists' fingertips and boundless imaginations, the forest transforms into a lively canvas where a mystical dance of light and shadow unfolds.

Within the forest gallery, the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur, and fairies and spirits come alive, breathing alongside every form of life in the beautiful natural realm.

Luna Yang aimed to create icons that embrace the fragile beings in need of care with clear, large eyes. In this particular artwork, the icon "N," born from peonies and azaleas, is visualized, and traditional blessing signatures are reinterpreted and reshaped.

YEMIKIM, merging traditional painting with digital art, expresses fairy-tale-like enigmatic beings living in the forest. She contemplates immortality through the keywords of AI-generated information replication and transmission.

With1 weaves together everyday narratives, philosophical, environmental, and emotional reflections on the meaning of human connections.

Through their distinctive surrealist expression and a variety of symbols and images, these thoughts are conveyed within the canvas.

Choi Min-seo infuses the Jeju landscape with the vitality unique to the island, reimagining it as Jeju portraits. All the creatures within it are parts of these portraits, and the delicately depicted companion dog and pampas grass are a portrait of the artist herself in her 40s, living on Jeju.

"September in the Forest" is an exhibition that celebrates the interconnectedness among all life forms. It serves as a reminder of the mysterious equilibrium between the visible and invisible realms, prompting contemplation.
