제주인놀다

타타라타트(Tattarrattat)는 제임스 조이스의 『율리시스』 18장 Penelope에 등장하는 단어로, 주인공 블룸이 부엌 문을 두드릴 때 나는 소리를 묘사한 의성어입니다. 반복적이고 기계적인 일상 속에서도 울림은 존재의 흔들림을 암시하며, 리듬과 시간의 흔적으로 기록됩니다. 이번 전시는 두드림과 응답, 기다림과 반복을 모티프로, 사운드, 이미지, 물성, 텍스트의 경계를 탐색합니다.

Tattarrattat, coined by James Joyce in the Penelope episode of Ulysses, mimics a knock on the kitchen door — a sound transformed into rhythm and temporal trace. This exhibition explores the sensory motifs of knocking, response, repetition, and pause, unfolding the boundaries between sound, image, material, and text.
